I want to apologize for the long delay in blogging. I don’t sit down at the laptop often and WordPress can’t seem to get their iPad app to successfully load pictures.
8/16/12 – I write this update with a full stomach from a slice of slice of delicious mouth watering cheese pizza. Now, i’m enjoying a cup of tropical green tea. No, I didn’t fall off the wagon, I LEAPED OFF! OH NO! That quick, I feel a friggin fever blister on the corner of my mouth! Did I shock my system that I gave myself a cold sore. I frantically search for Abrevea- NADA. UGH!!! I’ll be back, I need to go to the store. (30 minutes later) After reviewing what I ate, I ran out of Truivia and used rock sugar in my tea. Could the rock sugar cause this little red bump on the corner of my mouth or maybe it was that slice of delicious mouth watering cheese pizza. FANTASTIC!
I’m going to get straight to the point, I have good and bad days. My morning meals consist of a tasty spinach, onion, and turkey sausage, egg white omelet. Lunch is a chicken garden salad or I will have imitation crab meat (Can’t have the real stuff, allergic to seafood). Some days, I crave wine and cheese. This is considered a bad day on the “Diet Challenge” that brought me blissful moments.
Frowning, how come French women can drink wine, eat cheese and be fit and thin? Well, I wonder how many are menopausal and have hypothyroidism. Ha! Pity party over. For more information on menopause and thyroid disease go to www.mayoclinic.com.
Well, it’s been17 days on the challenge and I lost…… Wait for it…. 1.4lbs. No, the decimal point is not in the wrong place, 1.4lbs. YUPPER! Yes, I cheated, just a little. A couple glasses of wine here and there. But, there wasn’t any sweets. Wait a minute, yes there was…. that sugar cookie that my daughter brought me home from work. I had to eat, I would hurt her feelings if I said no, thank you. 🙂 Sharing my struggles with my co- worker, she politely informed, ” You know you can have wine on Weight Watchers”. Hmmm… 🙂
This was the most brutal 17 days ever! As soon as someone tells me I can’t have something, I CRAVVVVE IT! I see the difference in my clothes, i just knew the scale was going to say, “You have lost 5 lbs.” Dang scale!!
I don’t want to say it; But, I’m going to continue the challenge. However, I will tell you that I’m not going to DEPRIVE MYSELF from enjoying an amazing glass of wine. If it’s not amazing, I will try another wine until it is amazing. JUST KIDDING! 🙂 All kidding aside, I decided that I will only have 2 glasses of wine a week.
While writing this update, I received a call from my wonderful challenge partner who casually shared that she had oatmeal for breakfast and may have a BLT. Ummm.. okay??? I don’t recall oatmeal and BLT on the “Accelerate” phase. Maybe she’s on a different phase, even though we started at the same time. (shrug shoulders) Sala vi.
P.S. corner mouth pimple disappeared the next day 🙂
