Touch of Unusual and Unpredictability

Dining Room Tablescaping

For the past weeks, I’ve been confined to my office. Today, I took a break from the paying job and decided to do some dining room tablescaping.  Clearing out the storage room, I found a bag of Home Good, TJ Maxx and Hobby Lobby store finds that were purchased before the Coronavirus pandemic. Boy, do I miss strolling the aisle for hours; soon very soon.

The chargers and bowls were purchased for Easter. At the time of purchase, I loved my dining table setting and was not ready to dismantle my design. For the first time in years, I did not have an Easter themed table setting.  Instead, end tables, stands, carts and trays displayed golden rabbits and eggs and colored foiled chocolate eggs, which was also purchased from Home Goods.

My plan was to videotape myself cleaning and setting the table; like the real home decor influencers. But, finding the proper location to get the perfect view with my iPhone, putting on makeup, changing out of my moo-moo and requesting the use my daughter’s ring light, NOT HAPPENING. So you’re stuck with viewing pics and a video.

A Touch of Unusual and Unpredictability

I’m sure I’m not the only one who does this, but days before setting the table, I layout one place setting. Throughout the day(s), I observe, paying attention to how I’m feeling and asking does the place setting match the image in my head, which is elegant with a touch of unusual and unpredictability. Today, I can satisfactorily say, YES!

I haven’t made a final decision on the napkin design, but I’m steering towards the white napkin design. 😬
