Lately, the majority of my time has been spent in my office, working 10-12 hours days then doing chores that turns into unplanned projects, such as reorganizing the refrigerator. So, why not share a peak of my office.
Years ago, I reclaimed a small bedroom, which was first my daughter’s room as a toddler, then transformed to a guest room and to an art studio. Since working from home became frequent, I required a dedicated space. I recreated my own personal space that represents the youthful girly-girl in me, which means lots of pink, gold and filled with inspiration. From my mother-dear to my daughters and their friends, they all have enjoyed staying in my fun feminine room.
Here’s a peak of the room transformations. Heads up, I’m already pinning images for an office redesign to a more sophisticated decor. However, the pink is here to stay! 🙂
The first item for my office/guest room remodel has been purchased; a gold “Legette Etagere bookcase” from Birch Lane-Wayfair (my favorite online store). “Wayfair, you got what I need!”. 😀 The Legette bookcase cost $290.00 and the gold color is currently out of stock. However, Birch Lane, All Modern offers a similar bookcase called the “Damon Etagere” that is now on sale for only $190.00 to 210.00. As you can see from the pictures, the Damon has more shelves than the Legette. I would post a pic of my styled bookcase, but my bookcase is still in the box. I believe it’s important to identify a space in our home; a place we can call our own that provides a little escape and peace and I have found mine. Well, I’ll be honest, my entire home provides me peace and this I am thankful for.

Office Update

Welcome Back! I finally assembled my Birch Lane bookcase. As you can see, the bookcase is HUGE! I was so focused on the width and the space between the shelves that I did not pay attention to the height. YUP, I assembled the bookcase inside the room. OH VEY!
Tip: Measure carefully and do not assemble at 10:00pm.
