“A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it; it just blooms!”
– Zen Shin

I LOVE THIS QUOTE! “A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it; it just blooms.“
I believe there is nothing wrong with competition, it helps us strive to better ourselves and improve our knowledge and skills.
HOWEVER, having a constant competitive mindset that prevents you from supporting and helping another grow or to achieve their goals is not healthy and will offer only short-lived success.
In my 32 plus years career, I continue to see this insecurity in the workplace, fear of not being relevant or being replaced. I’m sure there’s a reason for this uncertainty, but there’s always a way to help, to be a resource to another. Sadly, I see this behavior from women. 😦 Instead of empowering each other, we compete and withhold information.
Regardless of how many times I observe and face with this lack of confidence, I refuse to allow it to change my spirit. I immediately express to the individual that I understand their challenges and share what has helped me over the years and express “If you need any assistance, with ANYTHING, please do not hesitate to call me. We can be a resource for each other.” In the beginning and throughout my career, this courtesy was given to me and I will always do the same.

I love having fresh flowers in the house. They lift spirits and brightens a room. Have you ever entered a room or space and seen fresh flowers and not smile or feel just a tinge of enlightenment or softly expressed “aah” or better yet, WOW when setting your eyes on a magnificent bouquet? I have this feeling every time my eyes set upon a bouquet a flowers.
The scent of flowers, primarily roses and peony, with a touch of sandalwood fills the air of my home. My morning ritual: open and tie-back the kitchen curtains, burn a sandalwood incense, which I purchase from Mecca Perfume in Washington, DC, light the coffee station candle or foyer candle and allow the aromas to scent my home.
Flowers are not expense; well some flowers are not expense. Go to your local grocery store, you can pick up bouquet for a little as $5.00 USD. My pink beauties cost only $16.00 of joy. 🌸😋

Also, if you have a green thumb; mine is “olive” LOL, grow flowers in yard, or in a pot on your patio or windowsill.

I love flowers so much, for my birthday, my youngest daughter took me to a flower farm, name Sweet Virginia, which was breathtaking.
Since our lives are busy, there is nothing wrong with having artificial flowers to beautify our home and office. I have artificial flowers throughout my home and garden. My personal favorites are Duovlo Artificial Peony Silk Flowers Fake Flowers Vintage Wedding Home Decoration, Pack of 1 (Spring Milk White) that is sold on Amazon.com for $10.99 USD. I also like Inspire Me Home Decor real touch roses and peonies, which cost approximately $6.99 – $8.99 USD. Artificial flowers can be great way to add color to a shade garden.
In conclusion, personally and professionally, SUPPORT & SHARE each other. Help Another Grow! Trust me your blessings will be three-fold.

BE SAFE EVERYONE!
