“It’s Complicated

I can’t help it when I’m watching a movie or tv show my eyes are drawn to the background setting: the house, furniture, kitchen or living room decor and layouts. During my Tuscany Old World decor period, the house and my favorite kitchen are in the movie, “It’s Complicated”. The movie stars Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin, who are divorced and having an affair. Steve Martin is the architect who is remolding Meryl Streep’s Spanish-style home. The house, inside and out, is so warm and gorgeous. Yes, I’m currently in the glam decor phase. But, if I was able to live in that home, I would not change a thing! 🙂

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

While watching Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, I love the gold frame chairs in Kyle’s second home and those black and white floors are BREATHTAKING; they would fit perfectly with my current glam decor.  On the show, we are graced with Yolanda Hadid-Foster’s custom floor to ceiling refrigerator that stunned all viewers. If you are interested, the glass-front refrigerator is going for a measly $17,000-$18,000USD. Then there is the Grand of All Grand Lisa Vanderpump’s Villa Rosa home, which speaks for itself.

Scarface

I recently watched Scarface with my 21 year old daughter, who has never seen the movie. I have watched the movie at least 10 times and never notice the tall black lamps on Tony’s desk; talking about having a WOW factor. They are MAGNIFICENT and I WANT THEM! During my home transformation, I realized that I have a lamp obsession. 🙂

Under the Tuscan Sun

Last and far from least, I have to include the home of Frances Mayes in the movie “Under the Tucson Sun”. Yes, the scenic landscapes and food was breathtaking. But, I fell in love with the Tuscany wall color, dining room mural, the beautiful writing desk and her scroll bed frame. ❤️❤️❤️ SHOOT, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE! 🙂

I had the opportunity to have a mural painted on my living/dining room wall, but I could not decide on an image and was too chicken to make such a huge commitment. If you recall from my living room photos in my previous blogs, Instagram page @Treevinos or my “About” page, you will notice I tried to create my own little Tuscany villa.

A Little Background Story: My sister recommended “Under the Tucson Sun”; it reminded her of me because I love Italy. So, on a sisters trip to the beach, I watched the movie for the first time. I cried and hated it! I was abhorred that she recommended this movie. You see, at the time, I was having marital problems and could not see pass Diane Lane’s character husband infidelity. Years later, I rewatched the movie and became to appreciate, the courage, love, and culture the movie possess. Since then, I have watched the movie a gazillion times and enjoyed it every time. 🙂
