Disclaimer: This blog was written before Christmas. 😬
As soon as my daughter and I entered Home Goods, she says, ” Mom look!” She points to a display of polka dot dishes. I have no idea how or when my obsession with polka dots began; I only know it existed for years.
I LOVE POLKA DOTS! Polka dot dishes, clothing, shoes and accessories.
Time to do some tablescaping. When it comes to my dining room table, I usually do not have trouble deciding on a final layout. HA! As soon as I typed this, I recalled a recent dilemma on determining which napkins to utilize in a design; so, fingers-crossed.
I love my before layout. I had the white dishes for years, which I purchased from Pier 1. I love the classic design. The chargers and the oval dish are from Home Goods. The pearl napkin rings were purchased from Amazon. The napkins are missing from the place setting because my white and gold napkins are in the garage, with the tree, blocked by furniture. I refuse to buy more napkins. Well, the truth is, I’m not actively looking and haven’t come across any that WOW’d me.
Okay, I think I’m going overboard with this layout. 😂
With this layout, I feel something is missing; but that’s probably to do with I’m used to having my table more accessorized. Well, this is it; I have a final layout!
My Polka Dot Christmas Place Setting. The only thing Christmas about this tablescape is I purchased the dishes during the Christmas holiday. 😂
Following is the detail description and cost breakdown:
Polka dot plate $4.99 (Hobby Lobby), white gold trim saucer $2.99 (Hobby Lobby), Luxe gold bowls $3.99 (Home Goods) and napkins $17.99 for 6 (Amazon). Sorry, I do not recall the costs of the glass charger and polka dot expresso set, which was purchased from Home Goods.
I hope everyone had a Happy and Safe Holiday!
