Feeling good and ahead of schedule with decorating my home for one my favorite seasons, fall and my other favorite is Spring.
I love the fall colors and seeing my lawn colored with leaves 🍃 🍁🍂. This year, my fall decor plan is not to incorporate the fall colors I love. I am going a different direction; incorporating the calm whites and creams I created downstairs into upstair’s fall decor.
While clearing off the dining room table decor and decorating for Fall, look what I created 😜. Now, I am the hunt for four of these cute little teacup and saucer set. Last year, I purchased the teacups from Home Goods. I am going to need lots of luck finding the set again. This most definitely will be my place setting for after Christmas.
First, let me say the outcome of my dining room table fall decor was not my plan. The goal was to recreate the fall layouts from two years ago, minus the rich colors.
Well, my decorating morphed into “the most glammed-out fall decor” I have ever created! 😂 Seriously, my current mind set is “urbanish” with JUST a touch of glam. But this Marvelous creation evolved; a cascade of cream and white pumpkins in the center of the dining room table. I LOVE IT!
Daughter’s initial reaction: “It looks like you set things on the table (like groceries on a counter) and you need to put things away. 😳 😂
Then she changed her angle: “Wait a minute it, I see it now, I like it. Very Kardashian!”
I will take it! 😜
The same concept for the dining room WAS to be carried to the front of the house; white mums with orange and white pumpkins cascading down the front step with a touch of Halloween for the daughter. To accomplish my front door vision, I will need 12 pumpkins of various sizes and approximately 6 mums.
After shopping around for faux pumpkins and the inability to find faux pumpkins and faux mums at an affordable price, I will be waiting for the pumpkin patches to open. I will save money and the mums and pumpkins will last to at least Thanksgiving.
Here is the result, thus far. 😂😂😂 We see how well that design vision was implemented. I have to tell this little mummy makes me smile; it reminds me of kid playing.
I have to share; I had a deck contractor meeting and he said, “I love your table. Falls your favorite season.” I smiled and replied, “Thank you and Yes it is.” 😊
Do not be afraid to allow your creativity to flow!
